Engine on a steel stand from a Moto Guzzi Galletto 160cc, which were built between 1945 and 1952.
This four-stroke 160cc engine with underlying camshaft and push rods delivers 6 HP through a gearbox to the rear wheel, the engine runs and has a working carburetor.
No kickstarter and no gear pedal, visually in very good condition. The internal parts are unknown, although by disassembling the spark plug a white piston can be seen and the gaskets are new.
This collector’s item comes from the legendary collection of Teo Lamers from Nijmegen (The Netherlands) who sold his extensive collection via auction house Hessink in 2006 prior to emigrating to Australia. The auction’s label is still on the block.
The very rare catalogue (in mint condition) of the auction from 2006 will be included. The catalogue has the 131 lots listed, all of them with a good photo and description.
The engine block and catalogue can be viewed in Sterksel, North Brabant, the Netherlands.
After the purchase, pick up is preferred.
