A fine pair of bronze pricket candlesticks with iron spikes which run all the way through the drop-&-baluster stems and are fixed underneath the pedestal bases by large hand-made butterfly screws. The bases are engraved with the names of the donors or owners : "GIVSEPPE FABBRI" and "MATTEO MATTEVCCI". The underside of the bases were stamped at a later date with the initials S.Q. (probably done during the late 19th/early 20th century). It's rather unusual to find there candlestick in bronze (most are brass) !
