Beautiful ANDY WARHOL ballpoint pen, by Montblanc, without boxes or documents, with serial number MBJG42MF1. Andy Warhol
Born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania in 1928 into an immigrant family from Eastern Europe, Andy Warhol drew a lot of attention by turning the ordinary into extraordinary. With his astonishing works, Andy Warhol removed the barriers between "refined art" and "commercial art". He challenged the traditional assumptions about what art is and how art is made, and forever changed the established criteria of what we understand as art. Images of Warhol’s of everyday objects, whose provocative representation makes us forget its insignificance. They are immediately recognized by art collectors and the public around the world and they reach incredible prices at art auctions. Andy Warhol achieved something that only a few artists have achieved: he became a living legend, as well as a contemporary cultural icon that continues to inspire us today.
Andy Warhol Special Edition
Probably, of all Andy Warhol's works, the most universally recognized is his Campbell's Soup Can series. The Design of the Andy Warhol Special Edition uses this iconic image as inspiration, which appears as a grouping of 4 cans integrated in the stainless steel cap. Both the cap and the cone look like soup can lids. Warhol's master eye for colour has determined the choice of cobalt blue for the precious resin deposit and orange for the cone’s narrow rings and the front part, with the smoother he used for his screen prints captured in the clip’s design. In memory of its series of dollar symbols, one of them has been engraved on the 585 handcrafted gold nib. In addition, on the cap’s ring Warhol’s signature has been engraved.
As a prominent 20th-century American artist, Andy Warhol challenged the world to see art differently. Since its founding in 1987, by Andy Warhol's will, the Andy Warhol Foundation has established itself as one of the leading sources of financing for contemporary art in the United States. To date, it has awarded nearly $250,000,000 in scholarships to support the creation, presentation and documentation of contemporary visual art, especially works that are experimental, little appreciated, or whose nature entails a challenge. The foundation's ongoing efforts to protect and enhance its founder's creative legacy ensure that Warhol's innovative and open genius has a profound impact on the visual arts for future generations. The foundation's fundraising from licensing projects like this contributes to increase its funds, which it then uses to award scholarships. For more information, visit www.warholfoundation.org.
