Il “Lux Vitis” Luce della Vite di Marchesi de’ Frescobaldi è un rosso prodotto nella Tenuta di Montalcino a base di Cabernet Sauvignon, con una piccola aggiunta di Sangiovese. È un vino strutturato, ricco e complesso, dal volto maturo e mediterraneo, con un corpo importante e una notevole persistenza gustativa, che lo rende adatto ad abbinamenti con arrosti di carni rosse o con della selvaggina.

Il vino “Lux Vitis” Luce della Vite è un Supertuscan dal profilo internazionale. Le vigne di Cabernet Sauvignon e Sangiovese sono coltivate nella tenuta di Castelgiocondo, che si trova sul lato sud-ovest di Montalcino a un’altitudine di circa 300 metri sul livello del mare. Le viti sono state piantate nel 2004 su terreni caratterizzati dalla presenza prevalente di sabbie. Il clima soleggiato è particolarmente mite e ventilato, perfetto per portare a maturazione uve dagli aromi ricchi e intensi. La vendemmia avviene verso la fine di settembre e la fermentazione si svolge in vasche di cemento alla temperatura di 28-30 °C, con una macerazione sulle bucce della durata di circa tre settimane. Il vino matura per 24 mesi in barrique nuove di rovere francese e termina l’affinamento con alcuni mesi in bottiglia prima d’essere messo in commercio.
