Heavy, lion’s head infantry sabre, high English officer rank, around 1800. Fire-gilded knuckle-bow hilt with a carve bone grip. Wide blade (similar to the 1796 Blücher sabre) with the engraving typical of that time. Manufacturer on the back of the blade - Wooley - Leather scabbard with fire-gilded mouth and chape. Total length approx. 86 cm, blade width approx. 37 cm, blade length approx. 72 cm.
