The engraving measures 27x34 cm including the engraved frame with the title. The original margins have been trimmed because the view has been mounted on an 18th century support sheet. Travellers used this technique to collect prints of different dimensions in a personalised album. Pieter van der Aa (Leiden, 1659 – Leiden, August 1733) was a Dutch publisher.
He was one of Europe's leading publishers of the seventeenth and eighteenth century. He published the collections of history and archaeology of Johann Georg Graevius "Thesaurus antiquitatum". This print comes from the 5th volume of that work
