An utterly brilliant and benchmark Amarone from one of the Veneto’s greatest and most lauded families.
The vintage was characterized by rather low average temperatures and average rainfall. The thinning of the grapes proved to be fundamental, as productivity tended to be high. The maturation, although slightly delayed compared to the average of recent years, was characterized by a good balance between sugars and polyphenols. Wine of great structure, complex, elegant, velvety. It has an intense ruby red color, a warm and spicy bouquet and an aroma of dried fruit. It is in fact produced with Corvina Veronese, Rondinella and Oseleta grapes, through the millenary technique of APPASSIMENTO. This technique requires that the grapes, after harvesting, are left to rest for a period ranging from 3 to 4 months. Amarone is an extremely important wine in the Italian wine scene, an exclusive and unrepeatable symbol of Valpolicella. Over time, Allegrini, which has perfected its production aiming to maintain the integrity of the fruit, has established itself as one of the most authentic interpreters of its uniqueness.
