Rare original ancient Roman silver ring wedding band clasped hands fertility artifact

This is an ancient Roman silver wedding ring, dating to the 1st - 3rd century A.D.
It depicts two right hands clasping in union, This is the earliest use of a unifying symbol of marriage used in ancient Rome, we know that these clasped hands rings were used in the marriage ceremony
The ring is presented in excellent condition, with no damage, cracks or restoration. (see pictures)
Today this ancient Roman ring is still suitable to be worn again, some 1800 years later!
The ring has been professionally cleaned of surface dirt, making it a beautiful addition to a collection of antique jewelry.
Origin: Property of an old Austrian private collection.
